Whenever I get into a situation with noisy people, I’m always sleepy and tired by the time I get out of it. It seems that all of my energy is sucked out and drained for responding to conversations often punctuated with high voices.
Don’t get me wrong. Sometimes I like being in crowds (though not very much). I also don’t mind being in the middle of busy and zestful life. However, I prefer to be alone in such circumstances.
What tires me the most is having conversations with people who demand you to answer their every questions or react to whatever they say. I’m not that kind of person, and having to do so really makes me lose my energy by the end of the day.
Just like last night. It’s only 8 PM yet I was extremely tired and could barely open my eyes. All because of a ‘long’ evening I had in my sister’s house. Earlier that day I was baby sitting her baby while she was being massaged by a massage therapy that came to her house. It’s OK, I love babysitting her baby son. He’s very cute and I just love carrying him.
However, I couldn’t stand it because the therapist kept engaging me into conversations. She’s a very talkative woman, loves talking about A LOT of things and always in high voices. She’s a very nice person, actually, but I often can’t handle her spirit of talking.
By night when I got home, I felt half of my self had gone somewhere. I read news in the Internet, heard my husband talk about his day in the office, and helped my daughter with her homework with on and off brain. Finally when the clock struck 9 PM, I decided to just go to bed to reset my self.
Really, it’s hard for me to cope with people who rarely use their pause buttons when they talk. If I’m forced to be in that situation, there’s nothing else to do to refresh myself but to have a good long sleep.
